    FAQ Schema Generator

    Turn your questions and answers into valid FAQPage JSON-LD, ready to paste. Structured answers are the shape search engines and AI assistants lift, which makes this markup one of the cheapest AI search visibility moves available.

    Questions and answers

    Everything you mark up must also be visible on the page itself.

    Your FAQPage schema

    Fill in at least one question and answer.

    <script type="application/ld+json">
    {
      "@context": "https://schema.org",
      "@type": "FAQPage",
      "mainEntity": []
    }
    </script>

    How to use FAQ schema well

    1. 1Write answers that stand alone in two to four sentences. That is the unit engines extract, so an answer that depends on surrounding context loses its value.
    2. 2Keep the visible page and the markup identical. Google ignores FAQ markup whose content is not on the page, and inconsistency reads as manipulation.
    3. 3Answer real buyer questions, not brand trivia. The questions people actually ask AI engines about your category are the ones worth owning; our free People Also Ask tool maps them.
    4. 4Verify the payoff. Markup is the input; the output is whether AI engines cite and recommend you, which is what a free AI visibility check measures.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is FAQ schema?

    FAQ schema is FAQPage structured data: JSON-LD markup that lists questions and answers on a page in a machine-readable form. Search engines and AI assistants use it to understand your answers and lift them directly into results, which makes it one of the cheapest AEO moves available.

    Does FAQ schema still matter now that AI answers exist?

    More than before. Classic rich results have narrowed, but AI engines parse structured data when they read a page, and a clean question-and-answer block is exactly the shape they extract. FAQ markup will not guarantee a citation, but unstructured answers compete at a disadvantage against pages that spell theirs out.

    Where do I put the generated code?

    Paste the script tag anywhere inside the page's HTML, ideally in the head. The questions and answers in the markup must also appear visibly on the page for the same reader; markup that has no matching visible content violates Google's guidelines and gets ignored.

    How many questions should a page mark up?

    Mark up the questions the page genuinely answers, usually three to eight. Quality beats volume: each answer should stand alone in two to four sentences, because that is the unit an engine lifts. If you want to know whether AI engines actually cite your answers afterwards, that is what an AI search visibility check measures.
