Teams start looking for a BrightEdge alternative for one of three reasons. The renewal quote went up, the platform does more than the team uses, or the work has moved from blue links to AI answers and they want to know whether the incumbent is still the best place to measure it. Each reason points to a different shortlist.
So this page is sorted by job. Below are 10 BrightEdge alternatives in five groups: the AI search layer, like-for-like enterprise platforms, technical SEO at scale, content governance, and lighter research suites. Each comes with the price as a US visitor sees it on the vendor's own page (read on 13 October 2026), what it does better than BrightEdge, one limit and who it suits. Four print a US dollar price; BrightEdge and the other six do not. For the part of the job that is now about AI answers, Honeyb comes out first and is our pick for best overall and best value. It does no classic SEO, so it pairs with a research suite rather than replacing the whole platform.

Why teams look past BrightEdge
BrightEdge publishes no prices: brightedge.com/pricing returned a page-not-found error on 13 October 2026, and every plan is sold after a demo. That is normal for enterprise SEO, and it shapes the search. Teams looking for alternatives usually want one of three things:
- A known price. Without a public number, the only benchmark is the renewal quote. seoClarity, Ahrefs, Similarweb and Honeyb print US prices; Conductor, Botify, Lumar, Siteimprove, Semrush Enterprise and Profound do not.
- Less platform. BrightEdge spans keyword research, competitive analysis, Live Trends, site audits, on-page recommendations, content creation, the Site Agents Suite, SEO Copilot, five kinds of reporting and an AI line-up of its own. A team that uses rank reporting and content recommendations pays for much more.
- A second opinion on AI search. BrightEdge's homepage promises one platform to win across Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Teams whose buyers also use Claude, Gemini or Google AI Mode may want a dedicated tool to check.

Read down the second column and the trade is plain: the closest like-for-like platforms are sold the way BrightEdge is, and the tools with a printed price each cover one slice of the job. That is why many teams moving off BrightEdge end up with two tools, a research suite for classic SEO and a dedicated tool for AI search. For that second slot the numbers favor Honeyb: all eight major engines, 100 prompts a day, about 24,000 answers a month and 30 articles for $199.

The AI search layer: Honeyb
Every entry follows the same order: the verdict, the price as published for US visitors, what it does better than BrightEdge, its limit and who it suits.
1. Honeyb (ours): best overall and best value for getting recommended by AI search
Honeyb measures how every major AI engine answers your buyers' questions, ranks what to fix first, and drafts and publishes the content that closes the gaps. It is the AI search slot in a lighter stack, at a price on the page.
- Price (honeyb.ai/pricing, 13 Oct 2026): The Minimum is $29 a month for 10 prompts daily on one engine ($23 billed annually); Multi-Model is $79 for 50 prompts on three engines; Full Spectrum is $199 for 100 prompts on all eight, with 30 Content Agent articles a month; Enterprise is custom. The AI visibility API sells answers at $0.08 each.
- Engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews.
- Better than BrightEdge at: a published price and a self-serve start, all eight engines named on the plan, checked daily and reported engine by engine, ranked recommendations, and a Content Agent that publishes to WordPress, Ghost, Shopify, Webflow or Wix.
- Best value: about 24,000 answers a month on eight engines plus 30 articles for $199, about $0.008 an answer, with unlimited seats from $79.
- Limit: no rank tracking, site audits or log files, so it cannot replace BrightEdge's SEO platform on its own, and the 3-day trial covers Multi-Model and Full Spectrum only.
- Suits: marketing teams pairing a research suite such as Ahrefs or Semrush with a dedicated tool for AI search.

Like-for-like enterprise platforms: Conductor, seoClarity and Semrush Enterprise
2. Conductor: the closest match, with AEO at the front
Conductor competes with BrightEdge deal for deal and now leads with answer engine optimization (AEO, or getting your brand named in AI answers), calling itself the only all-in-one enterprise AEO platform.
- Price (conductor.com/pricing, 13 Oct 2026): not published. Essentials (500 tracked keywords, 1,000 pages analyzed, 60 Writing Assistant drafts a year, 3 monitored websites) offers a free trial; Growth adds 2,500 AI search credits a year, 5,000 keywords and 25 competitors; Enterprise is custom.
- Better than BrightEdge at: a free way in through Essentials, and AgentStack for feeding AEO data into your own agents.
- Limit: you still learn the price from sales above Essentials, and AI search credits are counted per year.
- Suits: enterprise SEO teams who want the same breadth with AEO given equal weight.

3. seoClarity: enterprise SEO with a price on the page
seoClarity is the one like-for-like platform that prints a starting price.
- Price (seoclarity.net/pricing, 13 Oct 2026): Rankings is custom, with a 2,000 keyword minimum and unlimited users; Research and Content starts at $2,500 a month; Technical SEO at $3,200; Enterprise at $4,500, priced by domains and keywords tracked.
- Better than BrightEdge at: a published floor for the budget conversation, unlimited users on rankings, and AI search visibility, AI Overviews and AI bot tracking listed in the product.
- Limit: $2,500 a month is a starting point, and every package is quoted.
- Suits: enterprise teams who want BrightEdge's scope and a number to negotiate from.

4. Semrush Enterprise: Semrush's data at enterprise scale
Semrush Enterprise brings the largest self-serve SEO database into an enterprise contract.
- Price: not published; enterprise.semrush.com offers demos (13 Oct 2026).
- Better than BrightEdge at: Enterprise AIO, which automates prompt identification and tracking for AI search, and Site Intelligence for crawling and fixing large sites, on Semrush's keyword and competitive data.
- Limit: sold by demo, and teams moving from BrightEdge rebuild their reporting.
- Suits: organizations that already use Semrush and want one vendor at enterprise scale.
Technical SEO at scale: Botify and Lumar
5. Botify: technical SEO and AI readiness for large sites
Botify sells itself as an AI search optimization platform built on crawling, and it is strongest where sites run to millions of URLs.
- Price: not published; botify.com/pricing redirects to a demo request (13 Oct 2026).
- Better than BrightEdge at: crawling and indexation for very large sites, AI agent and bot analytics, GEO analytics and automated deployment of fixes such as internal linking.
- Limit: keyword research and content planning are thinner than its technical depth.
- Suits: retailers and publishers with millions of URLs.

6. Lumar: site health and AI visibility for digital teams
Lumar, formerly Deepcrawl, joins technical SEO, accessibility and GEO in one crawler-led platform.
- Price: not published (lumar.io/pricing, 13 Oct 2026).
- Better than BrightEdge at: fast enterprise crawling, site speed and accessibility metrics, and AI visibility tracking alongside technical health.
- Limit: no rank tracking or content creation, so most teams pair it with a research suite.
- Suits: web, SEO and development teams who own site health together.
Content governance: Siteimprove
7. Siteimprove: accessibility, content quality and search together
Siteimprove comes at search from content governance, and its AEO module tracks AI answers on top.
- Price: not published; siteimprove.com/pricing redirects to the homepage (13 Oct 2026).
- Better than BrightEdge at: accessibility agents that monitor and guide remediation across web, documents, social, apps and PDFs, and AI answer engine tracking with citations and competitors.
- Limit: SEO is one module among several, with less depth than BrightEdge's.
- Suits: universities, governments, health systems and other organizations where accessibility is a legal requirement.
A lighter research stack: Ahrefs and Similarweb
8. Ahrefs: the research suite many teams already have
Ahrefs is the usual anchor of the lighter stack, and Brand Radar adds AI search on a self-serve price.
- Price (ahrefs.com/brand-radar, 13 Oct 2026): Brand Radar custom prompts start at $50 a month. The main Ahrefs plans showed us euros only on 13 October, so we give no dollar figure for them.
- Better than BrightEdge at: backlink data, a self-serve price, and an AI Visibility Index of 476 million prompts across AI Overviews, AI Mode, Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity and ChatGPT, with Claude available on custom prompts.
- Limit: no enterprise content workflow or services team, and custom prompts are metered by the check (Claude uses 8 per update).
- Suits: teams moving from BrightEdge to a lighter stack.
9. Similarweb: market intelligence with an AEO module
Similarweb answers the market question BrightEdge's reports often get asked to answer: who is winning traffic, and where.
- Price (similarweb.com/corp/pricing, 13 Oct 2026): AEO Intelligence is $129 a month, or from $99 a month billed annually, for one user with three months of history, with a free trial.
- Better than BrightEdge at: competitor traffic and market share, with AI visibility, citations and sentiment at a self-serve price.
- Limit: not a rank tracking, site audit or content platform.
- Suits: strategy and insights teams who need the market view.

Enterprise AI search measurement: Profound
10. Profound: the enterprise AI visibility reference
Profound is built for large brands for whom AI search is now a board-level metric.
- Price (tryprofound.com/pricing, 13 Oct 2026): a free trial with 50 prompts run daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews; Enterprise is custom, sold after a demo.
- Better than BrightEdge at: depth on AI search alone, with up to 9 answer engines, Prompt Volumes, an AI Marketer agent, SSO and SOC 2 on Enterprise.
- Limit: no classic SEO, so it sits beside an SEO platform, and the price comes from sales.
- Suits: enterprise brands that want AI search measured on its own, by a vendor of comparable scale. Our Profound alternatives price the field around it.

Before you switch
Export what you cannot rebuild first: historical rank data, share-of-voice reports and any custom dashboards that executives read. Then map BrightEdge modules to jobs and price only the jobs you use; a research suite plus a dedicated AI search tool often covers what a team actually opens. Run the new stack beside BrightEdge for a full reporting cycle before the renewal date. And if AI search is part of the reason, set a fixed prompt list on day one, since AI answers vary between identical runs and only a stable prompt set turns readings into a trend.

How we chose and checked
Every tool here covers one of the jobs teams buy BrightEdge for, and each entry follows the same order so you can compare them line by line.
Prices. Read on each vendor's own pricing page on 13 October 2026, in US dollars as printed. Where a page showed us only euros (Ahrefs' main plans) or no price at all (BrightEdge, Conductor, Semrush Enterprise, Botify, Lumar, Siteimprove, Profound), we say so and give no dollar figure. Homepage captures from June 2026 are labelled with that date.
